I wanted to put a review of this book up because she is one of my favorite Authors and I wanted to make sure that I put something of hers. I will be doing a re-read of The Vampire Favors Series this year as well so let’s begin.
Book one in The Vampire Favors Series:
Never make a deal with a vampire. It always comes back to bite you; or so Addison Fitzpatrick has learned. In true Addison-fashion, she’d angered a drug dealer; she may have “forgotten” to pay him. Just when it was time to pay the piper, she was offered a way out by an unlikely being. Cannon Blackwood, master of vampires, made her an offer she couldn’t refuse. Now, Addison owes Cannon three favors.
Seven years after that fateful meeting, just as Addison’s life is getting back on track, Cannon calls in one of the favors she owes him. There is a new drug that threatens the very existence of the vampire race and Cannon needs Addison, along with his brother Lachlan, who happens to be a professional thief, to steal it and destroy any evidence of it.
Not only is the future of the vampires on the line, but with both Cannon and Lachlan vying for her attention, her heart is as well. Addison has difficult choices to make and dangerous favors to repay if she wants to see the light of another day.
Addi, Lachlan, and Cannon are some of my favorite characters, as a matter of fact, I feel that St.Cyr writes her characters flawlessly, I have not read one that I didn’t enjoy in some way shape or form.
I don’t know how long she is going to continue this series, but I hope it lasts for a while. She does one fantastic job with her world building. Her character growth through the book is on point.
In this book we have Addi, she was a heroin addict, she was taken over by Cannon. He made her get clean, she got a job, and now she works for him. She owes him three favors. Once those are paid, she is free of him.
She meets Lachlan, Cannon’s brother, and she has to help him with a job. This is where we meet Cannon’s team. She, of course, ends up getting into a lot of trouble with the big bad. I think what makes this book fantastic thought is the triangle, it feels like it could develop into something amazing. Like a Triad relationship?
I don’t think they should have to choose none of them. Let the three of them be together in one dysfunctional relationship. I would love it. In the end, I have to say that St.Cyr had single handed won me over. I am a fan of hers and will read anything she writes with no questions asked.
For y’alls information the order of the Vampire Favors Series goes like this.
- Push & Pull
- Give & Take
