Let’s start Monday off right shall we? Good morning everyone, I thought I get this in before I get some work done. Last night while I whined and cried about not having anything to read. (Which was a big fat lie I just wanted my package to come in) I decided that I would do a re-read.
Let’s start with a blurb, shall we? (Sorry I am in a shall we mood today)
It’s been about a year since I read this book, so doing a review on it now it’s interesting to see what I thought of it back then.
I still enjoyed this book. It’s a four star for me, we have Falon a lost, lonely girl, she is trying to survive. She makes it to a corner store to find food, and that is when her story begins. All she wants is a sandwich, she didn’t anticipate that there would be someone there who wants to take her and mark her.
Enter Rafa, his story began 14 years ago when he killed his brothers ‘chosen’ for being a Slayer. He takes Falon home, and he marks her as his. Knowing that the Blood Law is going to take her away from him.
This story is full of tension, there are many aspects of the book you may roll your eyes to, I did. But I have also become to understand that some Author’s tend to follow guidelines that aren’t really needed. With all of that being said though, it’s flow was great, the tension was incredible, and to top it off there were some pretty fantastic sex scenes.
It was worth a Sunday night read while waiting for my package to come in. So I do have it on my recommend list.
