They are not Vampires….
As always let’s start this off with a blurb
Sasha always thought of herself as an outcast and outsider. Someone who didn’t belong. She lost her parents and brother in a burning car crash. She was the only survivor. Now she can see people in the dark. People us mere mortals are to never see. They can walk in the sunlight but it hurts their eyes, they drink blood to gain power.
Oh, and they fuck like bunnies….
But they are not vampires. In the span of one evening, Shasha and her boyfriend got into a car wreck and managed to get out of their car on the bad side of town where she came across some really big men. Tattoos and over 6 feet tall. They rolled her boyfriend and couldn’t do it with ease to her.
She fought and that is when she meets the boss.
I am not going to go further into it. I managed to fall in love with this book. I love Stephan, Sasha is not overly annoying. My boy Charles, Hands down the best side character ever. I am in love with this man.
It was an interesting book, a finding yourself. Dark romance, I love dark romances. I love the taboo aspect of it, that authors do cross that line. I feel that this one of those subjects that don’t get touched on very much.
Breene does it flawlessly, she does it without going far too overboard with it. IMO she is one of those authors I would recommend to someone who is starting out in the Dark Romance genre.
Breene has managed to write some of the greatest sex scenes I have ever read. Her characters are hot as hell. I think there is only one thing about her world that I didn’t understand was some parts of her world. I am not going to mention them because I don’t want to take anything away from her book. Because it didn’t.
I loved the fact that there was a world out there that was cast in shadows, and it was secret. I love the relationship that Sasha has with her side characters. She and Stephan have a great relationship and Charles adds that right amount of spice to all of it.
This may not be a reverse harem and there was no need to be. I think the h and H completely made up for that. Plus I think it added more to the relationship of them not being in a RH. I don’t Stephan could have handled having anyone else in her little group.
I recommend this book but I will give some warning. There is forced sex in this, Not female to male. But, male to male. They do not go into detail but you start to feel real bad for one of the characters.
