Hi, Hello, howdy!! Welcome to Friday!
Congrats to those of you who made it and you get the weekend off, if you are like me it’s only Tuesday in my work-a-day world so I still have four more days to go.
So let’s get this party started, shall we?
Okay, so full disclosure I normally do not read books like this. I am going to say I don’t read books that are over the top romance. I love little dark aspects to my romance novels. It’s just a thing okay guys, don’t judge.
But I have been a little depressed and let down lately and I had purchased this book and it had been sitting on my shelf asking when I was going to read it. I kept bypassing it for something other than it. So last night I was like okay, I feel really dull and I needed something that was going to pick me up and set me free.
Enter Regan and her men, yep her MEN. This is a full-on #Whychoose novel. It it isn’t your bag then turn away folks because this is one woman and 4 and a half men…. why half? No, she doesn’t get jiggy with a little person. You will have to read to find out what I mean.
Okay back to the story, Regan is a witch and she has to find and bind her consort before she turns 25 or her ‘spark’ dies and she can no longer bring it back.
This is a case of evil stepmother syndrome. I am not giving anything away because you basically figure that out in the first five pages.
When Regan was younger she hung out with five boys, her boys she likes to call them. She got close to them growing up and her parents didn’t like it so they sent her away. Well, she’s back, she is close to being 25 and taking over her father’s estate. things are going to change for our little Regan.
This is a Happily every, for now, romance, meaning it’s a series so there are other books with other angst and honestly I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I am even considering going through with the series, I mean why stop at one?
This novel was exactly the right thing right when I needed it. So thank you for that Eva Chase. I enjoyed the witching world with her unsparked men.
It did my heart good to see what happened and it ended exactly the way I wanted to. Yes with good ol’ blue waiting to be wrapped around her wrist. I want more, but again I feel that it will only be when I am having those off days, so her books are promptly going to go in the ‘feel good department’ but a permanent fixture on my bookshelves. Because I mean come on look at that cover. It’s a beauty.
I recommend this to those Why Chose readers out there, or if you just need something to bring you back from the dark times and into the sun.
So for this alone Eva Chase, you are going into my 4 bunny shelf.
