Raised in Fire by K.F Breene

Happy Saturday Y’all!!!

It is a common truth in my life that when it rains, it pours.

The killings that once plagued New Orleans are cropping up again in Seattle. The local office is stumped. I’m called out to lend a fresh set of eyes, and my unique magical touch.

It’s only when I get there that I realize the Seattle office isn’t stumped at all.

They’re being silenced by the Mages’ Guild, a corrupt magical institution that doesn’t want word to get out of what is plaguing the city. Worse, news of my magic might’ve slipped down to the underworld, hitting the ears of some extremely powerful demons.

What I thought was a routine murder investigation turns into a fight for my life. With the help of Darius, my stalker elder vampire, and my dual-mage side kicks, I somehow have to dodge the Guild in order to stop one of the most powerful demons I’ve ever encountered. If I don’t? It’ll escape back down below with proof of what I really am.

My life hangs in the balance, and this time, I can’t see a way out.

So I want to talk about this book. there is no wonder why K.F. Breene is a best seller. She kills me, I love her writing style and the dry humor her characters carry.

Regan and Darius have such an amazing relationship, both of them make me giggle like an idiot. I loved this story lone and where this is going. In this book which is number two is about Regan having to go to Seattle to battle a demon.

This demon is a threat, he wants to take information back to the Great Master, who we find out basically in the first few pages is Regan’s father. Darius had become possessive of her and wants nothing more than to keep Regan safe.

He is constantly keeping an eye on her with invisible butlers. You will know more when you read it. It’s actually quite funny. Regan realizes that she is not cut out to be a cop. And is constantly punching Garrett in the face.

Again this book was hilarious, the relationships are getting more complex and we are starting to learn more about Regan. We learn more about Darius as well. I can’t wait until the next one comes in the mail. I have all of K.F’s Into the Darkness series and I am very much going to continue on with this series as well. It’s a win in my book.
