Triggers: Yes most definitely.

Vacation begins my friends…. So we are going to start it off with book one.

Here’s the blurb….

We’ve always been different. Normal is something that’s bored us from the moments we were spit into this world, screaming and crying, wondering why we were dispelled from the sanctity of the darkness we both crave.I guess in a way, it’s made us stronger than we thought we were.Especially now since we have each other. I’d do anything for her and she would do anything for me.Lie.Cheat.Steal.Kill.We were never meant to be together, but the universe has a way of taking two completely different disasters and putting them together to let destruction reign freely. Our story is born of violence, deceit, and mischief, but it’s one you won’t soon forget. Welcome to the world according to Pike & Molly.

First, we have Pike…

He’s in love with Molly…

Molly isn’t all there.. she is a little crazy.. but in the end, Pike will protect Molly with everything he has. This story was dark.. in a lot of ways, there were even things I was like ‘oh my god’

Now mind you it didn’t make it a bad book, I am used to taboo and dark things. I feel that there was a little lacking in their relationships. Some parts felt a little forced.

Molly had moments when she was lucid that made me think she didn’t like Pike at all and Pike felt the same way. He wanted to do everything he could to make his girl happy but she seemed to be always lost in her own head. In places that Pike couldn’t follow.

I felt there were parts that just went too slow in the way of world building. Again not a horrible book, it was just a little slow. This was my intro to these authors and I will be reading more from them. If you like things that are really really dark then I recommend this one to you.

A solid 3.5 in my book.
