Sick Fux by Tillie Cole

Genre: Dark Romance

Ages: 18+

Triggers: There are many, please be aware this one is not for the faintest of hearts. It even made me cry, and that is hard to do.

So, this book has been coming up on my recommends a lot and often. I have been going down a hole of dark romances. I have read a lot over the last couple of weeks been so busy I didn’t have time to talk about it. So, let’s start.

When Ellis Earnshaw and Heathan James met as children, they couldn’t have been more different. Ellis was loud and beautiful – all blond hair, bright laughs and smiles. Heathan was dark and brooding, and obsessed with watching things die. The pair forged an unlikely friendship, unique and strange. Until they were ripped apart by the sick cruelty of others, separated for years, both locked in a perpetual hell. Eleven years later, Heathan is back for his girl. Back from a place from which he thought there was no return. Back to seek revenge on those who wronged them. Time has made Heathan’s soul darker, polluted with hatred and the thirst for blood. Time has made Ellis a shell of her former self, a little girl lost in the vastness of her pain. As Heathan pulls Ellis out of her mental prison, reviving the essence of who she once was, down the rabbit hole they will go. With malice in their hearts and vengeance in their veins, they will seek out the ones who hurt and destroyed them. One at a time. Each one more deadly than the last. Tick Tock. Dark Contemporary Romance. Contains explicit sexual situations, violence, disturbingly sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language and very mature topics. Recommended for ages 18 and over.

Ellis Earnshaw met him when she was 8, he sat there pulling the wings off a butterfly because he wanted to watch it die. A young Heathen, with his black vest and cravat. She was fascinated by him, a young girl already a head in her years.

She was homeschooled because she lived in a world no little kid should live in. Her father keeping her captive in a world where rich men did what they wanted, until one day Heathen was brought into the world and he killed his first man. Torn from Ellis, her rabbit the one boy that made her feel safe. The one girl that could touch him without making him want to kill.

Ellis went down the deep dark hole of her mind to emerge as Dolly, the girl that Heathen loved and wanted to avenge.

This story broke my heart, it was a tear in my own soul but in a way that made me love heathen, He was a man who shouldn’t be allowed to be out in the world but it made my heart sing the way he was with Dolly. He did things to make her happy, he was in love even those he was sure he didn’t know what the word meant. His soul too dark for that. But it was worth a read, please remember though if you are triggered easy stay away from this book. I am not and I loved it, Tillie brought a world into it, a world of hatred and deceit. Of love and blood, this book does have an HEA, one that made this book so worth the read.

Tillie gets all the stars from me on this one.
