The Devil by Ashley jade

Genre: Dark Romance

Age 18+

Triggers: Blood, violence, manipulation

This one was recommended to me by a friend and I have to say I loved it. I loved it so much I couldn’t put it down and the sequel I read both of them in a day. I started at 12:30 pm and didn’t stop until 7 am the next morning. I was so tired for work, but it was so worth it.

The Devil is part of the Cards of Love Collection. You do NOT need to read any other books in the collection in order to read The Devil. They’ll tell you I seduced them. Used my looks and body to lure them into my playground. They’ll tell you I’m a sinner. A demon who held them captive with temptation and lust. They’ll tell you I’m evil. A monster obsessed with the both of them. They’ll tell you they made a deal with the devil. What they won’t tell you…is how much they liked it. Please note: This story contains content that may be offensive to some readers. Please also note: The Devil is a full-length prelude novel

This book was, well there aren’t many words for what this was. I shouldn’t have loved it as much as I did. This book starts out with Damon and Cain. Now I am going to throw out there that M/M is normally not my thing, but Jade made it work. Plus, I will say I do love M/M/F because I need that female aspect in it. This did have that, but you get caught up in a world of Obsession, desire, and a whole lot of insanity.

Cain was the straight edge boy wanting to be president one day. He thought he had it all planned out, until he met Damon. Damon was a product of a wealthy family. He did what he wanted when he wanted. He didn’t care what happened with other people he had no empathy when it came to anything except for Krissy and Cain.

He pulled Cain into his world, giving him an outlet for his rage, he became obsessed with him. It slowly went downhill. This book was mostly backstory. We slowly meet Eden and her obsession with the older Cain. A young girl who had a really bad mental disorder, Agoraphobia. She relied on Cain, she loved him. He was obsessed with the step daughter he could never have.

All I have to say is this book needs to be read and make sure you have the second one on hand. You are going to need it. So happy these live on my bookshelf.
