Destruction by Jennifer Bene

Genre: Dark Romance/BDSM/Erotica

Age: 18+

Triggers: Violence/Force/Kidnapping

So, let me throw this out there, I normally steer clear of anything BDSM. I am not submissive, and it’s normally does nothing for me.

Let’s Begin…

Vengeance and destruction are all he has left.

Lianna Mercier has everything. She’s beautiful, well-educated, her father is rich, powerful — and she works for him. The perfect little princess, raised to be just like daddy.

But it’s all a lie.
A bloody, screwed up lie, and David Gethen is about to tear it all down and destroy Lianna in the process. He wants revenge, he wants to finish the plan his father started years ago — but after he takes her, after he tortures her, he begins to realize just how wrong he may have been.

Publisher’s Note: This book is a dark romance that contains intense scenes, graphic language, and capture fantasy which may be disturbing for some readers. Please choose another book if this is not your cup of tea!

This pulled enough though that I read the whole thing. Lilianna wanted nothing more than to make her father happy. She worked all the time just to get her father to respect her. He blew her off to work and left her alone.

David wanted revenge, to take Richard Mercer and knock him off his rise and destroy him and to do that he had to break his daughter.

So, this is where the triggers come in, this wasn’t just a kidnapping book. David did something things to Lilianna. I don’t condone it; I am not triggered by it because if you know me I have read and enjoyed worse. Let me tell you something though I am not going to downplay what happened in the book.

FOR ME, I can take it as fantasy. I am not by any means telling everyone to take it that way. Because I’m not, I will say though I do like the force fantasies out there. I do enjoy reading it.

I did enjoy the writing; I enjoyed the dark moments of this book. In the end I thought about it there were things that made me tilt my head and ask if it was serious. I by no means am questioning the author’s methods of writing a good book.

I will be giving these one 3 bunnies but that had nothing to do with the writing. It had more to do with that happened at the end. I won’t be giving that away because I believe you should read it and make your own judgments.

In the end here, there is a warning, this dark romance does not have a moment it lets up. It keeps going and going, so if you need something that will keep your head turning and your heart pounding then I recommend this one to you. It was a good book, just moments that made me mad.
